However, the company made the decision to pull the release at the last minute, citing legal concerns over the films "violent nature and content" (despite the fact that the film contains significantly less on-screen gore than They Dont Cut the Grass Anymore, which Image did release). This is seemingly due to the inter-cutting of gruesome murder scenes with shots of nudity and simulated sexual activity during the films climax, although Schiff himself has suggested that the films complete lack of humor and experimental style may also have been contributing factors.
