a.		According to Gore Verbinski, the Singapore scenes were intended to parody spa culture: a naturally humid atmosphere was achieved with a careful combination of lighting equipment and gallons of water, and fungi were allowed to grow within the set to enhance the mood.
b.		Joe Milon - Box Street Joe - was given a beautiful new coat, gloves, and boots from the Executive Producers during the filming of Box Street Joe which was during the early chilly months of 2010. He eventually narrowed it down to four names, including "Rain Man" for Raymond and "No-Man" for Norman. Marrow decided that Rain Man was the best. In order to see if this instinct was correct, he asked his children which of the four they preferred and all agreed with his choice.
d.		While filming the scene in the back of the cab Marlon Brando would leave every day for a psychiatrist appointment before Rod Steiger could film his lines with a double standing in for Brando. Steiger was very hurt by Brandos apparent disregard to a fellow colleague and was not able to forgive him until many years later.
