Leonard Woolfs dash from the house in Richmond, leading up to the railway station scene took him through St Johns Churchyard and Sutton Place in Hackney, London (14 miles) to Loughborough (114 miles), all in the space of a minute of screen time. A 10 second dash through Sutton Place took the best part of days filming with several antique vehicles parked in the residents parking bays; a handful of costumed pedestrians; plastic antique covers for concrete lamp posts and lots of sticky black tape to cover door bells and other modern door furniture. As he races past we see several Georgian houses with original, and quite rare sash window shutters. Sutton Place was a good choice as a uniform terrace of houses still bearing features of yesteryear.

c.		Author Ethan Canins original short story "Batorsag & Szerelem", which this movie is based on, originally took place in Iowa. When director Chad Lowe became interested in the project, and plans were made to film a movie based on the story, the action of "Batorsag & Szerelem" was moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland.
d.		In 1991, Paramount Pictures was preparing to release the film under the title "Lame Ducks" with a major ad campaign, playing up the fact that it was produced by David and Jerry Zucker who produced Airplane (1980) and The Naked Gun (1988), but when the brothers bailed on the project, the movie was shelved, the publicity campaign was scrapped and the title was changed to "Brain Donors". It was released in a few theaters to some positive reviews, but it really made its money on home video where it has attracted a small cult following.
