This 28th Godzilla film marked the final use of Tohos Big Pool water tank, which was used for the water scenes for all Tôhô special effects-related films since Hawai Middouei daikaikusen: Taiheiyo no arashi, for which it was constructed. The Big Pool was 88 meters wide and 72 meters long. It was given one final performance when it was last used for this film on September 7th and was demolished on October 13th. Tohos decision to destroy the pool was due to "progress of special-effects technology such as CG, and a large-scale reconstruction plan of the studio." This was considered by many to be the end of an era.
b.		Several cast members in studio records/casting call lists did not appear or were not identifiable in the movie. These were (with their character names): William Haade and Jack Stoney (Truck Drivers), Arthur Space (Director), Jay Wilsey (Stage Driver) and Chick Collins (Bus Driver). A modern source lists Hallam Cooley as the Barker, but that role was played by Brooks Benedict.

d.		The meaning and relevance of this movies title Halls of Montezuma is that it represents the first line of the official hymn of the United States Marine Corps which is known as the Marines Hymn. This song is the oldest official song in the United States military. The first few lines go like this: "From the Halls of Montezuma, To the shores of Tripoli; We fight our countrys battles In the air, on land, and sea; First to fight for right and freedom And to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title Of United States Marine." The second line, To the Shores of Tripoli is also an American military movie as well.
