a.		Billy Rosewood has posters in his apartment of Rambo: First Blood Part II and Cobra, both starring Sylvester Stallone. Stallones then-wife Brigitte Nielsen appears in the film as Karla Fry and Stallone was the original choice to play the lead in the original Beverly Hills Cop. In fact, when Stallone was signed to star in Beverly Hills Cop, he did a polish on the script that focused more on action and took away the comedic element. He changed the main characters name from Axel Foley to Axel Cobretti. When he eventually dropped out of Beverly Hills Cop, he used the characters name and certain elements from his polish of the script for Cobra.
b.		Perhaps as an in-joke, Peter Sellers is whistling the theme to A Man and a Woman to himself in one scene - the tune is written by Francis Lai, who composed this movies score.

According to "Crazy Sundays" by Aaron Latham, Producer Mankiewicz thought he could rewrite any writer and after Ogden Nash had done what he thought was a "respectable job" on the script for months, the producer put his pencil to the script and finished his rewrite job in 24 hours by crossing Nashs name off the picture.
