a.		Work on the script began before The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was released, with a projected release date of 2007. However, the producers many concerns regarding the novel Prince Caspian (2nd Narnia book written, 4th in retroactive "chronological" order) caused delays. At one point they considered skipping Prince Caspian and moving on to the next book in the series, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Possibly because Caspian is more talky and less action-oriented then the high adventure of Dawn Treader or The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. But leaving out Prince Caspians book would have robbed him of his proper introduction, and his presence on the Dawn Treader would make no sense to an audience. A repeat of the late 1980s BBC television strategy was considered, wherein Prince Caspian and Dawn Treader would be shown as two segments of the same feature film. Director Andrew Adamson found a way to have the film stand on its own by adding a grand scale castle to the storyline, to make the film more epic and action oriented, whereas the books corresponding scene is only a few paragraphs long. In hindsight, Adamson regretted the decision to make this second trip to Narnia bigger and more overblown than the first.

a.		The brown Fedora worn by Henry Fonda belonged to Spencer Tracy and was given to Henry Fonda by Katharine Hepburn on the first day on the set. Henry Fonda, overwhelmed with the gesture, painted a still life watercolor of the three hats he wore in the film and gave the original to Katharine Hepburn as a gift. He had 200 lithographs made of the painting and sent one to every person who worked on the film. Each copy was numbered and personally signed by Fonda thanking each person by name. In her autobiography, Hepburn wrote that she gave the painting to screenwriter Ernest Thompson. After Fondas death, she found the painting to be a sad reminder of him and Spencer Tracy.

Producer Barbara Broccoli has said that the series "will go on to other different stories from now on." However, there still is likely to be the appearance of the QUANTUM organization, but with different villains. Moreover, Broccoli has also hinted at the possibility of a trilogy, which means a connection with Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, saying that "I think in some way, he will go after the Quantum organization. So in that sense, it may become a trilogy, but we havent really structured it that way."
